Rain at the door:
The sky is grey as dawns this day... birds' laughter, all is stilled, clouds shed their truth, land drinks enough, all as earth's father willed.
Alive we must trample the dust. We scarcely dare to meet. In passing by we say to try, ourselves, to bear the heat.
Facing the sky our spirits fly, as if we had been kissed, with feelings high we down the lie with gentleness of mist.
Cares washed away, come all that may, a heart with happiness... is over-flowed, cares not the load, our love we do confess.
Now growing fast, raised arms at last, four winds are at the door give thanks for this moment of bliss... the rain has come once more.
" Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field." [Zechariah 10:1]
